Day 1
ARRIVE EDINBURGH (2 nights)
Welcome to Bonnie Scotland! After check-in to your hotel in Edinburgh you have time to relax or start exploring this fascinating capital city. Later enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director and travelling companions.

Day 2
EDINBURGH SIGHTSEEING AND AT LEISURE
Your guided morning sightseeing tour includes a visit to the apartments of the impressive Castle perched high on the rock. You will also see the Royal Mile, the 18th century New Town with its classical facades, the new Scottish Parliament building and Princes Street with the ornate Scott Memorial. Later you may wish to utilise your 'hop-on hop-off' sightseeing ticket or take an excursion to Rosslyn Chapel, brought to notoriety recently by the ‘Da Vinci Code’. During the Edinburgh Festival, included tickets to the dazzling Edinburgh Tattoo are provided. This evening, why not enjoy a Scottish night out.

Day 3
EDINBURGH - INVERNESS (2 nights)
This morning start with a drive over the Firth of Forth to St. Andrews, one of the most renowned golf courses in the world. It is believed that golf was born on the Old Course in the 15th century. Time to take a picture at the 18th hole and stop at the ecclesiastical ruins in the town before continuing through Dundee and Perth to charming Pitlochry. Then see Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, which houses the headquarters of the Atholl Highlanders, Europe's only remaining private army. Finally, on a sombre note, travel to Culloden Moor which was the scene of the defeat of Bonnie Prince Charlie, before arriving in Inverness.

Day 4
HIGHLANDS AND ISLE OF SKYE EXCURSION
Today drive along the banks of Loch Ness and stop for photographs to see if you can spot ‘Nessie’. Then along the shores of Loch Cluanie through Glen Shiel. Next visit Eilean Donan Castle before crossing the Kyle of Lochalsh to the Isle of Skye. Here listen to romantic tales of Flora MacDonald and her daring rescue of the Bonnie Prince as you enjoy the beauty of the Cuillin Hills. Later return to the mainland to continue your journey via Loch Carron and Achnasheen back to the hotel in Inverness.

Day 5
INVERNESS - GLASGOW (2 nights)
Drive past Fort William and have views of Britain’s highest peak, Ben Nevis. Then through to Glencoe where the tragic massacre occurred in the early morning of 13 February 1692, during the era of the Glorious Revolution and Jacobitism. The massacre began simultaneously in three settlements along the glen, Invercoe, Inverrigan and Achacon, although the killings took place all over the glen as fleeing MacDonalds were pursued. Pass close by the Clan Memorial where each year, on the 13th February, the Clan Donald Society of Edinburgh arranges an annual wreath laying ceremony attended by Clansmen from across the world along with local people. Then take a scenic drive along the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond to Scotland’s second city, Glasgow.

Day 6
GLASGOW ORIENTATION AND LOWLANDS EXCURSION
Today you will get to see some of the iconic sights of Glasgow including a visit inside St. Mungo's Cathedral. St. Mungo was the 6th century founder of the city and today is the patron saint of Glasgow. Known in the past for shipbuilding, today the city is the third most populous in the United Kingdom and the largest city in Scotland. Later drive out to Alloway to see the birthplace of Scotland’s greatest poet, Robbie Burns. View his monument and the famous Brig O’ Doon. Afterwards visit Culzean Castle which is the ancestral home of the Kennedy family. The Scots invited Dwight D. Eisenhower to accept the tenancy of a specially created guest flat on the top floor of the Castle for his lifetime. This was given as a gesture of Scottish thanks for America’s support during World War II. Later head back to Glasgow where you will enjoy a Farewell Dinner.

Day 7
DEPART - GLASGOW
This morning after breakfast it is time to bid farewell to your Tour Director and new-found friends as this tour of Bonnie Scotland comes to an end. Return home with many happy memories. Transfers are available. Conditions apply.

ROSSLYN CHAPEL TOUR TRAIL
With a local guide, we drive out of Edinburgh to the tiny village of Rosslyn, where we have a tour of the famous Rosslyn Chapel. Visit one of Scotland's most unusual 15th Century buildings, famed for its associations with the Knights Templar, the Masonic movement, and now 'The Da Vinci Code'. Intricate carvings of New World plants, and secret chambers make this a must on any visit to Scotland. HIGHLAND FARM VISIT
Visit a real Highland sheep farm and find out about a dying way of life. The shepherd, Neil, has many border collies and will show you how, with different whistles, he can command each dog to carry out different tasks. You will be introduced to the dogs, try your hand at sheep shearing, feed the pups and see how they will be trained to be sheepdogs of the future. This is an opportunity not to be missed.
