Day 1 to Day 3

to Day 3 - LONDON (3 nights)

After check-in to your hotel, the rest of your day is free to relax or enjoy some of the sights and sounds of the city. On your first full day in London you will enjoy an introductory morning sightseeing tour featuring Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace. The rest of your time in London is at leisure – perhaps take a walk in Hyde Park, see the dinosaurs in the Natural History Museum, mix with the famous and infamous in Madame Tussauds and take in a top stage production in one of London’s more than forty theatres in the West End!

Day 4 to Day 6

to Day 6 - PARIS (3 nights)

This morning your coach will transfer you to St Pancras Station for your Eurostar high-speed train service to Gare du Nord in central Paris. The next day enjoy a sightseeing tour which includes the ascent of the Eiffel Tower to the second level, a drive up the Champs Élysées to the Arc de Triomphe and views of Notre Dame Cathedral. Then time is yours to perhaps do some shopping or visit the splendid Palace of Versailles or the Louvre. Why not dine out on the Left Bank or enjoy some spectacular Parisian cabaret?

Day 7

FLIGHT FROM PARIS TO ROME (3 nights)

Today after a leisurely breakfast you are transferred to the airport to take a short flight to Rome - the Eternal City. On arrival check-in to your city hotel for an evening at leisure.

Day 8 to Day 9

to Day 9 - ROME SIGHTSEEING

Enjoy two full days in this exciting city. Your sightseeing tour on the first morning with a local expert guide includes views of the Forum, Colosseum and the Circus Maximus, renowned for ‘Ben Hur’ style chariot races. You will also have an interior visit to St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. Then Rome is yours to explore as you please. There is plenty of time to admire Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, and shop along the elegant Via Condotti. In the evenings, perhaps discover Italy's mouth-watering cuisine in one of Rome's many restaurants.

Day 10

DEPART ROME

'Arrivederci Roma'. This morning there are transfers available to Rome Fiumicino Airport for your return flight home. Conditions apply.

VERSAILLES THE PALACE GARDENS

We leave the bustle of the city for the splendour of Versailles. Created by the “Sun King” Louis XIV, the palace became the envy of every other European ruler. Our guide takes us through the State apartments, including the famous Hall of Mirrors. All of this enhanced by our excellent audio system. Afterwards, take a stroll through the symmetrical tree-lined gardens. (NB. This optional is subject to availability).

After an unforgettable dinner in typical Parisian style, drinks included, we take a drive through the city. GIVERNEY HOUSE GARDENS OF CLAUDE MONET

Visit this charming French house, with its spectacular gardens, the former home of the greatest Impressionist painter, Claude Monet, and inspiration for his magnificent ‘waterlily’ paintings. Our coach will drive us to the village of Giverny where we will enjoy a tour of this delightful house and garden with its internationally famous ‘Japanese’ bridge.

THE LOUVRE MONTMARTRE SEINE CRUISE

We start with a conducted tour, enhanced by our excellent audio system, of one of the finest Art galleries in the world – the Louvre. A chance to admire the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo amongst the many thousands of exhibits in this former Royal Palace. Later we take a funicular ride up to the artists' quarter of Montmartre, followed by a relaxing trip on a Seine cruise boat.

ROMAN EVENING WITH DINNER

A light hearted evening in Rome. We will relax and enjoy a typical Italian meal (drinks included), while live musicians entertain us. To complete our evening, we will drive along the Via Veneto, a location made famous by the film 'La Dolce Vita' and see how the Romans enjoy their city. A wonderful end to our day.

TIVOLI LUNCH OR DINNER

An excursion to the ancient Sabine town of Tivoli situated a few miles outside Rome to enjoy the gardens and fountains of the Villa D’Este. You will visit its grottos and pavilions, the Avenue of a Hundred Fountains, and the Dragon Fountain of the Organ. We end the visit with a typical Italian lunch or dinner, wine, soft drinks and music.

ROMAN HIGHLIGHTS

An extension to the included sightseeing tour which allows us to admire the artistic masterpieces collected and commissioned by the Popes and displayed in the Vatican Museums. See the famous Tapestry Gallery and Gallery of Maps then finally wonder at the masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel. Take your time - Michelangelo spent 11 years in the preparation of the vault and altar wall! Our visit will be enhanced by the effective use of our excellent audio system. Later we will visit the Pantheon, and take a stroll around Piazza Navona, to admire the sketch artists at work.
